Flames 1st Goal Contest (the “Contest”)

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.

Official Contest Rules and Regulations

This Contest is sponsored by Calgary Sports & Entertainment Corporation (the “Contest Organizer”) and Play Alberta (the “Prize Supplier”).

The Contest starts at 12:00 p.m. on October 10th (the “Contest Starting Date”) and ends at 3:00 p.m. MT on April 19th (the “Contest Closing Date”). The time period between the Contest Starting Date and the Contest Closing Date is referred to as the “Contest Period.”

By entering this Contest, entrants agree to abide by these Official Rules. The decisions of the Contest Organizer with respect to all aspects of the Contest are final.

1. Eligibility

This Contest is open to all legal residents of Canada who have reached the age of majority in the province or territory in which they reside.

Employees, agents, and representatives (and persons with whom they are domiciled and their immediate family members) of the Contest Organizer, its subsidiaries, affiliates, sponsors, advertising, and promotional agencies are not eligible to enter.

For purposes of these Official Rules, an “immediate family member” is defined as a parent, sibling, child, or spouse. Compliance with all terms and conditions and correct method of entry qualifies you as an “Eligible Participant.”

2. How to Enter

No Purchase Necessary.

To enter, you must be of legal age (18+) and select a valid Flames player from the options provided.

Limit of one (1) entry per person during the Contest Period.

If the Contest requires submission of art, writing, or other creative work, each Eligible Participant agrees that their entry complies with the Content Restrictions below. The Contest Organizer may disqualify entries that do not comply.

Content Restrictions

Entries must not be illegal, defamatory, hateful, obscene, or disparaging, and must be an original work created by the entrant.
Entries must not violate any third-party rights (e.g., copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity).
Entries must not conflict with the Contest Organizer’s image, values, or the purpose of the Contest.

3. Odds of Winning

Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received by the Contest Closing Date.

The Contest Organizer is not responsible for late, lost, or incomplete entries. Entries that are incomplete, irregular, or submitted through illicit means will be disqualified.

4. Prizing

All prizes must be accepted as awarded, are non-refundable, and are not convertible to cash. The Contest Organizer reserves the right to substitute any prize or component with one of equal or greater value.

Grand Prize

There are four (4) grand prizes available, each consisting of:

Two (2) tickets to the next Calgary Flames home game following the contest period

Approximate value: $90 per prize

All costs not specifically included (e.g., taxes) are the responsibility of the winner.

If a winner cannot use any portion of the prize, that portion will be forfeited.

Prizes are valid only for the assigned home game date and must be redeemed on that date.

5. Selecting Winners

A random draw for the grand prize (and any secondary prizing, if applicable) will be conducted by 11:00 p.m. MT on each Flames game date from all eligible entries received.

The Contest Organizer will use reasonable efforts to contact selected entrants using the contact information provided. If a selected entrant cannot be reached within 3 hours, their entry will be void, and another entrant will be randomly selected.

Before being declared a winner, each selected entrant must correctly answer a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question within two (2) business days of notification and sign a Declaration and Release Form confirming compliance with these Rules.

If a prize includes travel, winners must have valid travel documents. Failure to provide them or refusal to travel on the assigned dates will result in forfeiture.

Failure to comply with any of these requirements (including returning the Release Form) will result in forfeiture, and a new draw will be conducted.

6. General Conditions

This Contest is subject to all applicable Federal, Provincial, and Municipal laws and is void where prohibited.

The Contest Organizer is not responsible for errors, negligence, or technical issues related to the Contest. The Contest will be conducted in English only.

By entering, each winner consents to the use of their name, city, voice, and/or photograph in any related publicity without further compensation.

Entrants release the Contest Organizer, the Prize Supplier, and any affiliated leagues (e.g., NHL, CFL, WHL, NLL, AHL) and their agents from all liability related to participation or prize use.

All entries become the property of the Contest Organizer and will not be returned.

The Contest Organizer reserves the right to cancel or suspend the Contest at any time for reasons including technical failure, corruption, or security issues. Entries that are forged, altered, or tampered with will be disqualified.

If social media entry is allowed, entrants must follow the rules of the applicable platform. The Contest is in no way sponsored or endorsed by Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, or any other social media platform.

7. Privacy

Personal Information collected is protected under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws.

By entering, each participant:

Grants the Contest Organizer the right to use their information for Contest administration (e.g., contacting winners).
Acknowledges that their information may be shared with the Prize Supplier and authorized third-party agents as needed.
